I recently joined a website called Influenster after my friends mentioned all of the cool free things they’d gotten from it. I love cool things, especially when they’re free. The only catch is that you have to try the things they send you and write reviews on them. How fun is that?
I just received my first VoxBox at school, and it was full of free samples and products that I can’t wait to tell you about! So, without further ado, click the images below to read my reviews on each product!
What is this magic water? It removes makeup and cleanses the skin simultaneously, leaving your skin feeling fresh and actually clean. There is no need to rinse it off, so all you need is a cotton ball and the product. My few dry problem spots were much less dry in the morning. I may continue to try this to see what the long-term effects are, so I’ll keep you posted! Disclaimer: I received this product for free in return for writing an honest review.
Because I live in a dorm, I don’t have the ability to truly test this product in a bathtub. What I can tell you is that the scent is incredible. It relaxes me when I smell it, so I can only imagine how relaxing it would be while soaking in a bath. Dr. Teal’s Epsom salt is meant to “revitalize tired, achy muscles and refresh skin’s appearance”. While I have no way to test this now, I can assure you I will be using it every other day when I go home for my next break to relieve the aches and stresses I’m getting from college. This nail polish by Kylie Jenner is affordable and offered in a large variety of great colors. It applies incredibly well compared to other nail polishes at the same price–it is not too sticky and not too runny. It dries quickly, and when it does, it transforms from a glossy finish to a matte finish. This looks cool at first, but ends up looking messy with the suggested two coats. It looks a bit like you colored your nails in with a marker unless you use at least three coats, which makes the polish darker and less transparent. The darker red color is great for fall, and I will most likely continue to wear it (I just won’t let anyone look too close). I have been using these facial wipes for a few months now, and receiving a free sample of them made me super happy. After using these facial wipes, I do not plan to switch to another brand. They easily remove makeup (even eye makeup) and leave your skin feeling incredibly clean afterwards. I generally don’t feel the need to wash my face afterwards! I wasn’t big on makeup until this past year, and you still won’t find me stocking up on the good stuff from Sephora. I’m content with milling the aisles at Walmart to find a good, cheap option, and I only get what I think is necessary for me. Mascara is not one of those things. With that being said, this mascara is a game-changer. I like natural-looking makeup, and this mascara makes my eyelashes look naturally longer and darker. The (slightly intimidating) brush does clump your eyelashes slightly, but it is easy to separate them with a clean mascara brush or by wiping some product off of the brush, as the mascara doesn’t dry too quickly. And a plus: the ball tip makes reaching the shorter lashes much easier and cleaner. If my eyelashes start to look more prominent, you can be sure this product is definitely the reason. Baked snap peas? I was not excited to taste these again after receiving them in a care package last year. I decided to try them again for the good of the people, and I actually did not think they were that bad this time around! You can taste a hint of the flavor of regular peas, my favorite legume, but they are airy and crunchy instead of soft and mushy. One package of these baked veggies is 90 calories with 4g protein, 3g fiber, less than 1g sugar, only 40g sodium and 3.5g fat. I enjoy them much more than I did a year ago, but I can’t help but miss the soft, warm goodness of fresh (or canned) peas while I eat them. I received two samples of Yogi tea, one being Soothing Rose Hibiscus (Skin Detox) and the other being Honey Lavendar (Stress Relief). I have never been a fan of tea but recently started to drink mint green tea. The Soothing Rose Hibiscus tea is a sweetened green tea that is much easier to drink than regular bitter green tea. It’s delicious. The sweetness is soft but lingers (and is a flavor you want to linger). I will definitely be purchasing this tea (and hopefully getting the skin detox benefits along with it).
